January 2018 Guest Speaker: Sarah Spicer

“YOU Are the Greatest Asset Your Business Has! “

Let’s face it… if you’re an entrepreneur, YOU are your brand; if you’re a corporate girl, you are a reflection of your company.  Sarah will teach us ways to make sure you are capitalizing on that precious asset that is commonly known to YOU!  Her journey from corporate America to entrepreneurship has taught her so much, and she can’t wait to share the highlights with you!

An award-winning Producer and Director, Sarah Spicer is on a mission to empower and inspire women to step out of the mold and create the life of their dreams.

Once a successful medical sales rep, Sarah began to realize that her story was not in alignment with what her heart was pulling her to do, which was to follow her passions of acting, writing and filmmaking. After nearly five years of building a half a million dollar territory, Sarah knew it was time to move on. So, she got a tattoo, called her boss, quit her job and enrolled in film school. After graduating, she moved back to her hometown of Atlanta where she started her production company and jumped into the acting scene, working on national commercials, reality TV, in local theatre, and in international films. During this time, an opportunity to co-produce a WWII feature presented itself and from that, she realized that her vision had shifted from acting to producing and directing.

Two years later, Sarah and her team released the documentary Hope For Steve, a powerful film about a local couple battling ALS. It has been featured on HLN, ABC World News, BuzzFeed, Upworthy, and has been recognized nationally and internationally, winning awards for both the film and its humanitarian efforts. It is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and Nook and in distribution through Virgil Films and Entertainment.

In 2016, Sarah embarked on her biggest project yet– becoming a new mom to a baby girl. Along with her film projects, her mission now is to empower and inspire other women to do what she has done; to break the mold and create the life of their dreams.
